Installation Guide

Follow these step-by-step instructions to connect your e-commerce store with Product Data Boost.

Step 1: Create an Account

  1. Visit the registration page
  2. Enter your email address and create a secure password
  3. Click "Create Account" to complete registration
  4. You'll be automatically logged in and redirected to create your first store

Step 2: Add Your Store

  1. Enter your store's domain (e.g., mystore.com)
  2. Click "Create Store" to register your store
  3. Your store will be created and set as your active store
  4. Proceed to the Integrations page to get your API key and for platform dependent instructions.

Step 3: Get Your API Key

  1. Navigate to Integrations from your dashboard
  2. Find your unique API key displayed on this page
  3. Copy your API key to clipboard
  4. Keep this key secure – you'll need it to configure your store plugin

Important: Never share your API key publicly. Treat it like a password.

Step 4: Install the Plugin

For WooCommerce:

  1. Download the Product Data Boost Integration plugin from your Integrations page
  2. Log in to your WordPress admin panel
  3. Navigate to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  4. Choose the downloaded ZIP file and click "Install Now"
  5. After installation, click "Activate Plugin"
  6. Go to Product Data Boost in your WordPress admin menu
  7. Paste your API key into the "API Token" field
  8. Click "Save Changes"

For Shopify:

Step 5: Sync Your Products

Once the plugin is installed and activated, you will be able to start enriching your products!:

  • Go to the Products catalog in your store's admin panel
  • Select a couple of products to enrich
  • From the top-left dropdown menu with bulk actions, select "Enrich with Product Data Boost"
  • Click "Apply" and wait a couple of seconds.
  • Refresh the page and check the enriched products

Success! You enriched your first products!

Troubleshooting Installation

If you encounter issues during installation:

  • Ensure your API key is copied correctly (no extra spaces)
  • Make sure your WordPress/store has internet connectivity
  • Check that the plugin is activated and enabled
  • Verify your API URL is set to the default value
