2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the service and manage your account:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and password (encrypted) provided when you create an account.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and usage logs (to prevent fraud and ensure system stability).
- Billing Information: While we collect your billing address for tax purposes, we do not store your credit card details. (See Section 3).
- Product Data: The ecommerce data you upload for enrichment. Note: As per our Terms of Service, this data should not contain personal information.
3. Payment Processing & Paddle
We use Paddle as our Merchant of Record.
- The Role of Paddle: Paddle acts as an independent Data Controller for your payment information. When you make a purchase, you provide your financial details directly to Paddle.
- Data Shared with Us: Paddle shares only the transaction details (amount, date, and your contact info) with us so we can credit your account and provide support.
- Privacy Policy: We encourage you to review Paddle's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your financial data.
4. How We Use Your Data
We process your data based on the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a Contract: To manage your account and deliver the credits/enrichment services you purchased.
- Legitimate Interest: To improve our AI algorithms, maintain security, and send you essential service updates.
- Legal Obligation: To comply with Romanian fiscal laws regarding invoicing and record-keeping.
5. Data Enrichment & AI Processing
Product Data Boost uses AI models to process the product descriptions and attributes you provide.
- Service Providers: We may use third-party AI providers (such as MistralAI or Scaleway) to process product data.
- Anonymization: We do not send your account PII (like your name or email) to these AI providers. Only the raw product data you wish to enrich is processed.
6. Data Retention
- Account Data: Kept as long as your account is active.
- Invoicing Data: Retained for 10 years to comply with Romanian accounting regulations.
- Product Data: Your enriched data is stored on our servers to allow you to download it and to facilitate the Rollback feature. You may request the deletion of this data at any time through your dashboard.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
As a user, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Request the deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements).
- Right to Portability: Request that we transfer your data to another service provider.
- Right to Complain: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian Supervisory Authority (ANSPDCP).
8. International Data Transfers
While we are based in Romania, some of our technical sub-processors (like AI engines or cloud hosting) may be located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We ensure these transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other legal safeguards to maintain the same level of protection required by the GDPR.
